contradiction

I came across a joke that was quite interesting and very funny. Here how it goes;

An English Professor wrote a sentence on the board and asked the students to put punctuate it.

"a woman without her man is nothing"

All the males answered:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.

And not surprisingly all the females wrote:
A woman: without her, man is nothing!

And I have to say that I agreed with  the female! ~_^
