my best friend's engagement and wedding

wow, it's been a long time since my last post! well, this topic is really outdated but i think that this is an important topic to be left out from my blog. it's the day my best friend or should i say our best friend (mine and miss a) got engaged and married. our best  friend is none other than miss oops mrs siti norhawa patumin a.k.a awed.

the engagement (10/04/2014)

she got engaged on the 10th of april 2014. i must admit that i had to look at the engagement pictures date to remember. miss a ad me went day a few days earlier and help a little bit on the preparation. we were even asked to cut the chickens and beefs for the festive! so, when we ate, we kept on thinking that we did a great job at that.. i can't really recall what did happened  in this beautiful day (it's almost a year now, huhu..) but i do remember that everything went on smoothly.

the wedding (29 november 2014)

again, i had to look at the picture properties for the date. as always we went a couple of days earlier. on the way, we encountered a little mishap, a flat tyre. alhamdulillah miss a and i are sort of an expert at changing the tyre (we did that before) and continued the smoothly. we helped at what we could. but one of the important thing we did was putting henna on the bride to be's fingers and toes. we applied some on our own fingers. we made the bunga rampai as well.

the akad nikah (solemnization) was around 9am and the reception started at noon. i'm the bride's maid of honor. we rushed back to putrajaya right after the wedding since i got a class to attend the next day (which i ended up absent, could't wake up). ooh, miss a and i (actually, it was only me) went overboard with the presents, i think about ten, hehe.. and on our way back we saw some of awed's student walking back their school (the driver didn't came to pick them up, miscommunication) and gave them a ride. the distance would be around 8km plus it was raining.

ps: the happy couple are already expecting their first child somewhere in september!!!

happy new year 2015!

ok, i know it's 3rd january already but i still want to wish all of you a happy new year! i have a few resolutions this year. some of them are getting more involved in charity works, getting better grades in studying (currently pursuing master of counseling at open university malaysia, the same university where i got my first degree in multimedia communication), better financial management (less spending, more saving..hehe..) and loving my job more (though at the same time still trying to get better job that suits me more). here are the same resolutions i make every new year but found it hard  to stick to it; practicing healthy lifestyle (less 'couch potatoeing', more exercising, mastering new languages; japanese & sign language and khatam Quran (currently at Surah Luqman).

is also the birth of our beloved prophet Muhammad s.a.w, 12 rabi'ulawal 1436H. this link will direct you to the life summary of this great last prophet. i think this is all for my new year entry. i will write several important events in 2014 soon, insyaAllah..
