holiday again, yay!

13//09/2013 (friday)

our anticipated holiday for 2013 is finally here! do you realize that each time i wrote about holiday, i inserted the word 'anticipated?' well, it's true! everytime i spent my precious time with my beloved friends is an anticipating moments. i finished my japanese course at about noon. i picked up miss a at midvalley megamall since it's near to my intengah, where my japanese course is held. along the way, at r&r serdang, we picked oleen up ad the journey to the south began...

since hawa got some business to attend to, we stopped at jpo (johor premium outlet) and i got quite a great bargain for charles& keith shoes there. i only paid RM15.70 for originally RM200 price. after done with jpo, we continued our journey to felda air tawar 5 and had dinner. we arrived at hawa's place at around 10pm. we went to bed early for tomorrow, our destination, the legoland awaits!

legoland malaysia map
finally, my dream to come to legoland came true. we bought both the ticket to legoland and universal studio singapore at a travel tour agency months before. we got it a little big less than the price bought on D'day. when we arrived, the carpark was only 1/4 full. at the entrance, we were welcome by the legoland staffs who took our first picture.
L for legoland!
our first ride is the 'dragon's apprentice'. i had to be honest that this was the scariest ride for me at legoland. its path was not as adventurous as the other rollercoaster, 'the dragon.' but since, it is divided into smaller carts, i felt a little bit insecure because of the jerking movement. after that first ride, we walked around and took picture and then had our lunch at knight's feast.
with jester the clown
done with lunch, we continued our journey and took a ride in the observatory tower. it was like the taming sari tower in melaka. we could saw the breathtaking view from up there. after that, we tried the 'kids power tower.' please ignore the word 'kids,' hehe.. it was a tough ride, actually. you have to pull a rope to get up and then let go of the rope when you reach the height you want. i think the time given is maybe 5-7minutes and you can pull yourself up as many times as you manage within this time. i only went up twice, huhu..
views around legoland
we took a ride on the the 'legoland express.'it just a train that circled around the legopark but the queue was outrageous. we had to wait almost an hour for this ride. after the ride, we went to the '4D movie experience.' there are four movies altogether and we got to watch the one about secret agents on a mission of retrieving an important parcel (sorry, i forgot the title). you couldn't choose what movie to watch. you just went with the movie played during your turn. our last and most exciting ride for the day is the 'dino island where we got to get ourselves wet!
some of the models at miniland
done with the ride, we went exploring the miniland which hold all these amazing lego miniature of many famous places such as our own klcc and kl tower, angkor wat, taj mahal, china forbidden city and many more. there are many cute and interesting lego miniature all around legoland park. for me personally, legoland is more suited to family with small children since the rides and attractions are more focus to young children. i think, the legoland could improve more by providing more indoor rides given the rainy season here. done with our legoland, we went to johor bahru and dinner at an amazing restaurant, the 'carabao.'

our ferry ride to singapore
again,we started the day early for we had a ferry to catch! this is our first time, going to singapore by ferry. we chose to travel this way since it's the most convenient method from hawa's house.the ferry terminal injohor is called tanjung belungkor and the one in singapore in called changi ferry terminal.the ride is about one hour. we re quite thrilled for the ferry ride.
back again to USS with different companions
we called a taxi upon arriving and went straight to uss. this was my second trip here, same with miss a but a first time for hawa and oleen. we stored our bags in the locker provided and went straight to our first ride of the day, my personal favorite that is the 'transformer's ride.' the queue was already long but it was worth the wait. the weather is a little clouding and it was drizzling most of the day. so, rides such as the 'human'and 'cyclon' ride were closed.
smile for the camera peeps
okay, let me just summarize our activities at uss. the rides we took were revenge of the mummy, enchanted airways and sesame street spaghetti space chase. we had our lunch at mell's drive-in (we got discount coupons when we bought our entrance ticket and it was worth it!) we got to watch monster rock, waterwold adventure and mell's dinette. we did our shopping (yeah, i managed to buy the hard rock cafe bear) and went straight to our hotel (the same hotel miss a and i stayed before, amrise hotel) via bus and mrt.

16/09/2013 (monday)
bugis street and singapore flyer
on our second and last day in singapore, we went shopping first at bugis street. right after that, we went to singapore flyer. this time, miss a and i managed to see the view more clearly since our ride this time is during the day instead of the night. and we got the whole 'pod' to ourselves. since we got some ample time before our ferry ride back to malaysia, we went to orchard street and found my favorite bookstore that is the kinokuniya. hawa bought a few books since she wanted to finish the singapore dollar she had.
our ferry ride back to malaysia
done with everything, we took mrt to changi airport and from there took a taxi to changi ferry terminal. on our ferry ride back to malaysia, we managed to stay on deck and took ala model photos. with the breeze blew slowly and romantically, our skirts, hairs, clothes etc just go with the flow, hehe.. and that was the end for our malaysia and singapore holiday. miss a, oleen and went back to putrajaya the next day.

ps: a few days after our trip, we received a sad new from hawa.. her mother went to rahmatullah on 23rd semptember.. al-fatihah..

konnichiwa second step

hello there, this entry is about my third japanese language course this year. i managed to get through this course by emailing the nice sensei, ms lee. she's the coordinator for this course. during this course, we learned topics on shopping, asking direction and visiting.there are a few of my friends from the first step; veron, intan and nizar.

there are three forms in writing japanese; hiragana, katakana and kanji. this time, we learned how to write hiragana and katakana. hiragana is like japanese alphabet used to spell original japanese words while katana is used to spell borrowed words. kanji is like chinese character.i really felt like a kindergarden kid once again. honestly, my writing is quite bad but still readable. same as my roman and jawi writing.

as usual, we still have our role play. i would love to upload the video here, so that u guys can have a good laugh watching our performance. unfornately, the video was a little bit corrupted. everytime i try to convert it into .avi or .mp4 form (so, it would be smaller in size, easier to upload), the audio and the picture don't match. maybe, i should take some editing/filming course next time.

actually, there's a last step for this japanese language course, that's the 3rd step that will be somewhere in november. since, i've already attend more than enough course (we, government servant must at least attend seven days of training/course per year) and furthermore, i'm quite sure my superior wouldn't allow it anyway, i'll wait until next year to attend it.

group photo (i've got many of these)
our must have companion

let's practice, practice and practice some more...

my last meal with veron since she'll be continuing her study in japan together with her husband! (am jealous and really want to go there to further my study as well..)
