M.A.D. WeeK ! ! !

this week or should i say last week was HELL for me! at first, i was so happy to finally found my one true love. but it all changed when i received an instruction from my high level superior to go to ipoh. the command was given around 1630 hrs. i took the 2215 hrs ETS (fast train) and arrived at destination around 0045 hrs. i got no place to stay, so i slept at the nearby mosque.

the next morning, i walked to UTC ipoh. i did what i need to do. i observed the workflow of several public and private services; LHDN, JIM, POS etc. since, i already flushed my phone down the toilet (story will be told in another entry), i have no meant of contacting my superior. the instruction was given online and i need to stay online as long as i could.

next, i must go to MYDIN MALL in meru. i didn't have enough cash with me. i begged several people to take me there and promised to pay them later. no one was willing to help. so i walked all the way to vocational school where the good and kindhearted lady called me an uber. by paying the uber driver (very nice and softspoken chinese guy), i had zero cash with me. my cards suffered the same fate as my phone. along the walk, my shoes are kaputt so i threw them away. i walked barefooted and the people that saw me must think i am one mad woman.

i finished my job at meru around 0100 hrs. one aunty with the heart of gold bought me food to eat. i at this moment, i just wanted to rest and i need to get online quick so that my superior could arrange my transportation back to putrajaya. but NO, i need to do one more operation, ooo made that FIVE operations ALONE before i could have my peace. the five places are HOTEL BAJET MERU RAYA, LOST WORLD OF TAMBUN, BANJAARAN, HAVEN and PERDANA LAKEVIEW. my friend booked me an uber from hotel bajet meru raya to lost world of tambun. again, the uber driver is very friendly and he agreed to stop by a police station for me to lodge a report.

long story short, around 0530 hrs (sunday, 03/12/2017) , i was locked in a mental health institution at kajang for being CRAZY/MAD! even my parents and family don't believe me when i said i'm sane. i just got out yesterday. thing i learned this day is TRUST NO ONE! just put faith in the one and only Almight, ALLAH SWT.

ps: positive outlook, i made new friends...

betrayal

i seldom read back what i wrote; blog entries, exam answers, assignments, diaries etc.. but when i got spare time and in the mood, i'll read them back. of course not the exam answers and assignments. just the blog and diary entries. the first thing i realized about my blog is, i could immediately identify when i was depressed and when i was manic by the number of entries i wrote that year. if a doctor want to study bipolar, i think i would recommend him/her to study my blog, hahaha!!! the entries in my diary (ooo, i still keep one) follow the same pattern.

and sometimes, i couldn't even believe that i am the one that wrote that entry! it's like reading someone else's word/story. but after a few moment, the truth will slowly seeping in. reading my depressed entries still made me cry, reading my manic entries made me shaking my own head at all the grandiosity. i'm trying my best to move forward and forget my dark past! but the dark past doesn't want to be forgotten. it is always there, lurking and waiting to come out when i am at my weakest.

the feeling that you won't be able to forgive certain persons that abandoned you the moment you needed them the most will resurface. but then, you'll remember the few that stood by you and brought you back to life again. and you'll realize the dark past is necessary to filter the people that worthy of your attention. you'll be able to forgive BUT you will never able to forget. things will never be the same even after you allow them back into your life. you won't be able to trust them again. so, this is a reminder to us all, never betray a person's trust. whomever that had been betrayed will truly understand what i meant because like the saying, i've been there and i know what it felt like!

ps: i'm supposed to write my assignment but i'm writing this instead, haha.. typical me!

urge to write something...

i just feel the need to write something but i really didn't know what, haha.. btw, new semester will begin tomorrow. was offered two courses/subjects, took both. same with my dad. if everything goes smoothly, will finish by next sem. next sem will just focus on writing thesis. don't  have the slightest idea what to write.

last week, had a row at the office. bosses want to use club money to make video montage. our club is poor and i voted against it. think am being too outspoken and obnoxious! haha, don't really care since has been 'marked' by them a.k.a big bosses! i have no time showering the bosses with fake kisses and praises. i expressed what i felt, sarcasm and all. i knew it was unprofessional but well...

previous visit to the doctor, agreed to stop quetiapine and just proceed with lithium. good news actually, been stable for more that two years now. since moving back to kampung. had my parents to watch over me. but honestly, i prefer living in putrajaya. i felt smothered here, less freedom actually. with no real friends to hang out. that's all for now..

destination: manila, philippines [1 - 3 april 2016]

FLIGHT DETAILS

HOTEL DETAILS (STONE HOUSE HOTEL PASAY)

TRAVEL DETAILS

okay, this entry will meet the same fate as the brunei entry a.k.a short and hazy since it was written a year later! hehe, so sorry for the delay.. this time the destination in manila and the travelers remained the same, miss a and i..

1 april 2016 (friday)

since our flight was an early flight, we arrived at the airport early and had breakfast at the mcdonald there. on the flight, we were lucky enough to be seated with an airasia flight attendant that was on leave named AJ. he turned out to be a filipino and very friendly. he gave a lot of tips on vacationing in philippines. once arrived at the airport, we parted ways. miss a and i went outside and looked for the most convenient transport to our hotel. our first option was the taxi but the far are too expensive. so, we took a bus. the traffic in manila was crazy, way crazier than kuala lumpur. it took us one hour eventhough the distance from the airport to our hotel is only around 7km.

our usual view in flight, wings!! :) that guy is AJ by the way..

hotel room, crazy traffic and philippines' signature vehicle, jeepney!

our hotel was small and cozy. the staffs were friendly and helpful. at the hotel, we freshened up and rest for a while. we then proceed to our next destination, star city! to get there, we asked our hotel receptionist to call for a taxi since the fare was fixed. we didn't ate lunch since we already ate during flight. we already bought the star city tickets online and it costs PHP450 (around RM38). star city is an amusement park and i think it is worth the money! don't expect something like sunway lagoon. it is more similar to berjaya times square theme park. we rode almost all the rides there. we were planning on riding the ferris wheel during sunset.

so, to kill some time, we played mini golf. we managed to ride the ferris wheel as planned and the view was breathtaking. we could see the whole city bathed in the sunset. we then said farewell to star city and went dinner hunting. we took a taxi to SM Mall. the thing i found interesting here in manila is that, the guards will check your bag before you entered the shopping mall. we ate at a halal restaurant that served indo-malay. honestly, the food was expensive and bland. but, searching for a halal restaurant in manila is a little hard. done with dinner, we continued our hunt for the next day breakfast. we bought breads and canned drinks at the hypermarket. again we went back to the hotel by taxi. we slept early for we had to start very very early the next day, 5am!!!

star city, yay!!!

2 april 2016 (saturday)

on this second day, we booked a tour from yolo travel philippines. actually we knew about this tour agency through tripadvisor. it has a very good review and we were also hugely satisfied by their service. their guides (RJ, gerald & ryan) are friendly and very knowledgeable. they knew all the information on the place we visited. we requested for a combo tour (taal volcano - intramuros) and the itinerary is as shown below. the price was PHP11,550 (around RM980) for two persons. it may seem expensive, but believe me, you won't be disappointed! furthermore, the price was expensive because there are only the two of us. the more people in a group, the cheaper the price (but, most of you knew this already, right?! hehe..)

as per the itinerary, RJ and gerald picked us up around 5am. we stopped at a petrol pump once to refill and also to buy breakfast. we also visited the morning market (a little bit like pasar tani in malaysia) for a while before continuing our journey to the boat terminal. the boat terminal was only about 10 minutes ride from the morning market. at the terminal, we were joined by another group guided by ryan. so, there were five of us (all women; 2 american and one taiwanese) climbing the volcano. to get to the volcano, you have to ride a boat. it is a short trip, maybe 10 - 15 minutes.

you could ride a horse (more to a pony actually) up the hill for PHP500. we chose to be adventurous and climbed with our own strengths with we regret a little bit halfway through, haha.. the climb was hard because of the volcanic ashes. the ashes provided friction just like when you walk in a desert. once at top, all our tiredness seemed to fade away because of the amazing views! we drank coconut water (there are stalls that sell them) while enjoying the view. we also went to red lava view point (extra PHP50). after almost 40 minutes up there, we began our descend. as usual, descending is much more easier than climbing up.

morning market and boat ride

taal volcano

we then had lunch (lunch is included on the tour so we requested halal food), which was delicious compared to our dinner last night. after lunch we visited fruit stalls (since malaysia and philippnes has the same weather, the fruits are the same as back home). we even taught our guides that the spot at the bottom of mangosteen indicates the slices it had inside! our next activity was feeding hungry fish. the activity is actually called feeding frenzy. and sure enough the fish are crazy for the food. we then went back to the heart of the city, manila to start our intramuros tour.

lunch, fruit stalls, feeding fish

we went first to paco park. paco park is a recreational garden and was once manila's municipal cemetery built by the dominicans during the spanish colonial period. there was a wedding taking place while we were there. next is baluarte de san diego. it is a bastion in intramuros, part of the Ssanish colonial fortification in the walled city of manila in the philippines. each place got its own historical view which the guides explained in details to us. we continued to visit other famous landmarks such as rizal park, san agustin church (another wedding!!!) and casa manila. before sending us back to our hotel, we requested to stop by hard rock cafe so that i could add another bear to my collection, hehe! the hard rock cafe in located in makati. we thanked RJ and gerald for their excellence service and called it a night. i couldn't even remember what we had for dinner, haha..

3 april 2016 (sunday)

on our last day in manila, we bought souvenirs at greenhill shopping centre. we went there by train (there's a train station 200m from our hotel). one thing that really caught my attention here was the separation from women and men passengers. it was determined even before entering the coach, it was separated at the entrance. so, women will be waiting with women and men with men. since, we started our day early that morning, we had to wait for the shopping mall to be open. the souvenirs' prices are reasonable and don't forget to bargain.

from the shopping mall, we took a taxi to our next and last destination (not considering the hotel and airport) in manila, manila ocean park. again, we already bought the tickets online. the ticket's price is according to package. if i'm not mistaken, we bought the package with antarctica trail that cost PHP600 (around RM50). we took a lot of pictures as always and i also lost my sunglasses here.. it felt under a stair. it was unreachable, huhu.. but luckily, now i already owned a new one, birthday gift from my sister! we bid our farewell to the park for we need to pack our luggage, check-out and catch our flight home. we rode a taxi back to the hotel, did our packing and took a taxi to the airport.

shop til' you drop!!!

manila ocean park

auf widersehen, manila...

ps: i know that the entry is written in haste.. i left a lot of information out.. but i did insert links here and there that i knew would help you to get the missing information.. i do hope that this entry might help you even just a little, hehe.. my next destination entry would be laos. hopefully this entry will be written soon or i would again write a lousy one like this..

Bahasa | Language | Sprache

honestly, i'm a fan of language! what i mean is, i love to listen to different languages and if i'm given a super power, i wish than i can master all the languages in this world, even out of this world! my favourite language is japanese. i remembered going for a scholarship interview for studying abroad where you are required to list three countries of your choice. mine is naturally japan being the first, the second and third being uk and us.

the interviewer asked me why japan? and my answer was because i'm a fan of japanese cartoons and dramas (doraemon, masked rider, flashman, maero attack, oshin) and i want to watch them without having to read the subtitles! and then i got my sense back and added that i love their cultures (punctual, advanced technology, etc.) and also i totally agreed with the 'looking east policy' at that time introduced by the prime minister at that time, tun mahathir. haha, i managed to get the scholarship and was send to germany instead (where i didn't finished my study and became one of the greatest regret in my life!) but, Allah knows best and i did finished my study locally (where it would't sound as 'WOW' when you mentioned that you are an oversea graduate, haha..)

okay, one of the good part about being send to germany is i get to learn german. i leaned the language for two year in malaysia and sat for the exam (DSH) which i managed to pass averagely.. and then i got to stay in germany for about three years. unfortunately, when i came back to malaysia, i sort of leaving the language behind. currently, i am only able to understand basic communicative german.. i am still able to read (but unable to understand each word) and converse really really bad! but i know that i am able to grasp back the language if i make the effort to.. the thing about language is, no matter how long you've learned it, but you didn't make use of it, it will gradually gone..

i've learned arabic for seven years (since i was nine years old!!!) but after the 'big arabic test', the things i've learned for seven whole years were gone in a poof! the only language that is left in me aside from my mother-tongue, malay, is english! and even my english is not that bombastic or extraordinary! i've learned mandarin for three weeks (short course training) and the only thing i can remember is wo bu zhi dao, haha..  i learned japanese formally at INTAN for about three weeks and informally by myself for as long as i can remember.. i'm better at japaenese compared to mandarin because i do love the language, hehe.. i can read only hiragana without understand them, naturally.. still learning katakana and i know kanji would be an enormous obstacle, haha.. i am also interested in spanish, again because of the dramas (la usurpadora, mis tres hermanas, rosalinda etc) and korean because of the hallyu wave of course! i'm never interested in french because i think it's a difficult language to learn but i love hearing it..

i think that i have a flair for language, haha!! i can learn them quite fast if i put my effort in it but i usually lack vocabulary! i would do just fine with the daily basic conversation, but don't expect me to write a composition.. right now, i'm planning to brush up back my german and diligently learn japanese. when i'm bestowed with my own offsprings, i would want them to learn one foreign language beside english (it would be easier for them if i marry a foreigner..) they may choose the language they like.. below i made the summary of the languages i know, knew and hope to know..

  1. malay (mother tongue; first language - intact)
  2. english (learned since an early age - intact)
  3. arabic (9 - 14 years old - gone with the wind)
  4. german (17 - 22 years old - barely there)
  5. mandarin (3 weeks - what do you expect?)
  6. japanese (on & off - japanese kindergardner level, maybe lower.. ok, absolutely lower!)
  7. spanish (want to learn)
  8. korean (want to learn)

Destination: Bandar Seri Begawan (25 - 26 June 2016)

FLIGHT DETAILS

HOTEL DETAILS

TRAVEL DETAILS

as usual, when i updated my travel log one year later, my memory on that trip would be hazy and very unclear. so, please bear with me... we booked this trip without even realizing it was in ramadhan (fasting month). that must be the reason for the cheap flight tickets, huhu... our trip to brunei was only for two days, one full day to be exact. we rented a car (toyota vios) there. there was a little bit of miscommunication regarding the car rental. the car owner thought our rental request was cancelled due to my lack of  follow up. i thought once the deal was confirmed, there's no need for me to reconfirm further.

our first stop is the souvenir shop, syarikat perniagaan bintang ria! through our short research, this shop offers the best price for souvenirs in brunei. still, it was expensive. so, we just bought souvenirs for ourselves. next stop is bandar seri begawan waterfront which located directly in front of the shop. we took a boat along the river and around kampung ayer. we we hailed the boat the same way we hailed a taxi. the view was refreshing. we stopped a while at kampung ayer cultural and tourism gallery. all the entrance to the gallery here or museums here in bandar seri begawan are free. unfortunately, halfway through our boat ride, the rain started to pour down quite heavily. we had to cut our ride short.

next, we visited two of the famous mosques in brunei; Masjid Omar 'Ali Saifuddien and Masjid Jame 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah. along the way, we also visited royal regalia building (bangunan alat kebesaran diraja). only after all the visits, we went to our hotel in jerudong to check in. we paased in front of istana nurul iman. then, we stopped at a restaurant (forgot the name) to book a place for our breakfast. the restaurant is about 15 minutes drive from our hotel. we rest and freshened up a bit before we went back to the restaurant to breakfast. we tried ambuyat, brunei traditional food. it tasted a little weird for me personally. it's like eating starch/glue. but, some people may find it delicious. done breakfasting, we went back to the city and pay a visit to one of the mall there. the mall there. the mall is big but not as happening as the malls we have here in malaysia. we visited the night market, bought a few street foods for our sahur. we called it a day and went back to our hotel.

we drove to the airport early the next day and returned the car. so, this would be the end of my brunei entry. quite short, isn't it? hehe, well there's really nothing much to do here in brunei to start with and the trip is only one day. just got another one more entry to go. then, i'll proceed to my latest wanderlust, laos. actually, i just came back a couple of days ago! hope when the memory is still fresh, the entry would be refreshing as well!!! :)

school preparedness program (SPP)

yesterday, i joined mercy malaysia's school preparedness program. in this program, we are trained to be facilitator/trainer for the spp. spp is a program for school children both primary and secondary. in this program, the students are explained about disasters and how to face or prepare to face them. the training was interesting. we participated in the simulations originally prepared for the children. lucky for me, mercy had scheduled the program in segamat. so, i would join them in march for the first face and the second phase will be held in may.

fallen tree..

two days ago, we had a very heavy rainstorm. the wind howled like never before. around 6pm, i was watching television, when there was a flash of lightning followed by thunder. yup, it was normal during rainstorm but what made this one different from the others, is the sound after the thunder. the sound of a tree falling. i immediately opened my window and saw the poor tree already succumbed to the floor. it was a durian tree!!! less durian this year then. luckily enough though, the tree didn't blocked my way to work. the tree is still there today for the workers my parents hired to clean it up didn't arrived yet. if i am not mistaken, the tree might be older than me. as long as i can remember, the tree was always there. so, let us mourn for a couple of minutes for the loss of a good durian tree..

ps: sometimes, i try to write using bombastic vocabularies and powerful sentences to capture your people's attention..  but, i find it quite hard actually.. eventhough i love to read and my command of the english language is quite okay, i still fail to produce something amazing.. i realize i'm quite comfortable writing in simple sentences.. same goes when i'm writing in malay.. so, i apologize for my 'childish' writing.. :)

hello 2017

haha, i just had the time to welcome 2017 here on my blog.. i have no new year resolutions for i know i will never fulfill them! nothing much happened in 2016. maybe the biggest event was me transferring back to my hometown. other than that just the normal stuffs; friends/cousins getting engaged, married or expanding the family, stress on money issues, study issues, health issues and so on, a few trips abroad, trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating right and exercising and failed bla..bla.. bla.. bought a new phone (iphone se) for the previous phone had problems. what else? ooo, falling in and out of love with person who doesn't even knew my existence a.k.a celebrities (hehe..) and fictional characters. none with normal existing person in my social circle. not really looking and honestly not interested in waltzing into relationships at the moment.

see, how lazy my sentences are constructed? hehe, and even in a slouching position right now. i got 0/5 marks on one of my coursework. don't really care cause everybody in my class received the same mark or should i say didn't receive any. semester break, class will start back on 04/02/2017. went to big bad wolf last month (last year even!) but didn't but as many books as before. my to be read piles are still as high as klcc (exaggerating as always). trying to read chuck wendig's star wars aftermath. bought online at MPH. best read book last year would be harry potter and the cursed child and best movie is fantastic beasts and where to find them. notice any similarities? just watched arrival. boring! don't know why the reviews are high. favourite phone app like now would be spotify and game would be township. song orange by shinhwa. will stop now and will post when in a much 'diligent' mood.
