Semerah Padi

yesterday was my first experience watching live theatre at istana budaya. before this, i just watched theatres that were featured in movies or films, hehe.. actually, i want to thank my dear friend ateng for buying the tickets for me and A. it all started out when i saw ateng posted on his wall at facebook that he wants to see the theatre 'semerah padi.' so, i decided to tag along since i have always wanted to see any theatre live at istana budaya. i went there early, right after A finished her work on 5.30pm fearing the possibility of traffic jam and getting lost. i'm quite good at getting lost especially in KL.

earlier this year, a few of my friends decided to surprise me by taking me to watch Tun Mahathir The Musical on my birthday. it turned out, that they were the one that were surprised since during my birthday, i went to my friend's wedding in johor. miss my luck on watching theatre until now. the theatre was taken from an original late p. ramlee film of the same title. It is about a small village, Semerah Padi governed by a pious penghulu called dato' merah alongside his right handman, taruna and left handman aduka. Semerah Padi was ruled with strong Islamic beliefs and laws. dara, daughter of dato' merah has a feeling for aduka and the feeling was mutual.

unfortunately, dara was later engaged to taruna. later on, the country was attacked by pirates and king requests enforcement from semerah padi. dato' merah send taruna with several 'pendekar.' aduka was left to look after the village. not long after taruna's departure, semerah padi was attacked by borek and his gangs. borek want to avenge the death of his brother, jejaka. jejaka was ordered to be killed by dato' merah, according to the islamic law for commiting adultery. borek kidnapped dara and aduka came to the rescue. something happened to dara and aduka, regarding 'purity and sin.' that's all i could tell. for further information, just google 'semerah padi' or watch the theatre for yourselves! it is until 31st december 2011, ticket prices range from RM30 - RM200. you can get it online at ticket2u.biz.

i found the theatre interesting and captivating. the casts did a good job while the props did a great job! hehe, A and i keep joking about the coconut trees that fall from the sky. the theatre was meant to be serious, but i couldn't keep my serious mood because there were always something that will make me want to laugh. either the actors' line and action. the falling coconut trees, wardrobe malfunction etc.. there is this one guy that keep repeating borek's line with antic demeanour. then they were this devils group that can perform acrobatic, not to mention they are cute as well, hehe..the main actors were not as cute as them.. oh, i forgot to mention the main casts:
  • Datuk Baharuddin Omar - Dato' Merah
  • Abby Nadzri - Dara
  • Khir Rahman - Aduka
  • Fauzi Nawawi - Taruna
  • Opie Zami - Borek
  • Azizah Mahzan - Mak Dara
attending this theatre made me want to see more and more theatre! and i A even suggested that we went to see classical music net time, probably at petronas philharmonic. i started to like classical music ever since watching japanese drama series, nodame cantabile. for you that haven't seen this drama, i highly recommended it. it's funny and enlighting, plus the music is great. before watching nodame, the only classical musician i known is mozart and beethoven. after watching nodame, my knowledge on classical musical raised several notches! now i know bach, schumann, tchaikovsky, brahm, chopin etc.. insyaAllah, next time i am able to watch it.

ps: there's another thing beside the theatre that's making me happy and non stop smiling until now!!! thank you ya Allah for this wonderful feeling... really looking forward to tomorrow!

my singapore trip

here's the late update on my singapore trips with my friends last month. we went there by train on friday, 25/11/2011. it's the cheapest way to travel there, hehe.. we departed at about 11pm and arrived at woodlands at 6.30am. i slept almost all along the journey. but my poor friends couldn't due to some technical problems which i couldn't mention here in order not to offend anyone, hehe.. we went through immigration check and then stepped outside the station. we first thought that the Woodlands MRT station was nearby. so we just walked, following the crowd. but when we couldn't seem to find it, we asked the local. it turned out that we need to take a bus to the station. so, we took a bus to the station. from there we took MRT to city hall. we must change train to get to aljunied station (the nearest MRT station to our hotel at sims avenue).

we also bought singapore tourist pass for three days. with that pass, we have unlimited access to singapore public transport. it costs SGD34/pax (SGD8/day and SGD10 deposit). we actually had to wait for the ticket counter to be opnened on 9am. while waiting, we took some pictures and i actually ate by the street, huhu.. in singapore, drinking and eating in the stations are prohibited. from aljunied station, we walked about 10 minutes to reach our hotel. i booked the hotel online and it costs only SGD50/pax for 2 nights. the rooms are small but still comfortable for us, singles. i wouldn't advice family to stay there. another reason for the cheap prices is its location in the red-light district. a nice local advised us no to roam the street at night since we are all girls. it could be dangerous.

after freshening up, we made a move to sentosa island again via bus and MRT. oh, please add cable car to that. we only took MRT until harbour front and from harbour front we took cable car. the cable car costs SGD26/pax (return). we also bought ticket to underwater world and cineblast. the view from the top is incredible. upon arriving at sentosa island, we walked to one of the famous symbol of singapore, the merlion. took pictures as usual. ooh, forgot to mention, i have this one tiny not so good habit regarding pictures taking. i tend not to bring out my camera when there are someone else doing the photographing, haha.. one of the reason is, my camera a little hard to use. there's no anti-schock and pictures taken will usually blurry. so i let my friend do the photographing, hehe..

i rushed my friends to the underwater world since i've been dying to see the dolphin show. this is my most anticipated event besides universal studio. alhamdulilllah, we managed to catch the 2pm show. it was great but short. there are three dolphins and two seals performing. some lucky auciences even get the chances to touch the dolphins and seals. after the dolphin show, we went to the underwater aquarium. honestly for me, the aquarium is average. almost same like aquaria klcc but bigger. we head to cineblast 4D cinema after underwater world. in this cinema, the seat will move according to the movement in the movie.

that's a wrap for us at sentosa island that day. we took the cable car back to harbour front, had our lunner (lunch + dinner) at subway. my friends didn't know that not all fast food restaurants in singapore are halal. so they were quite dissapointed when they could only chose between tuna and egg at the subway, hehe.. when we had our stomach refill, we went to another singapore favourite attraction, the singapore flyer. it is said that we could see malaysia and indonesia from it since it has a diameter of 165m. but, since we ride it at night, all we could see are just the blinking, beutiful dazzling lights. the ride on the flyer is about 30 - 40 minutes. we call it a day after the flyer and get some sleep back at our hotel.

on our second day in singapore, we spent the whole day at universal studios. universal studio is also located at sentosa island. we bought the ticket in malaysia for RM180/pax. this time we took a bus to sentosa, no more cable car. we arrived there quite early. the just open admission. so, we didn't have to queue long for a ride. again here, i kept rushing my friends forward so we could get on all the ride and don't have to wait long. i stopped them from taking pictures, told them that they had ample opportunities later after we had ride on all attractions. the first ride we took is the transformers ride. this is my favourite ride of all since in this ride, i wouldn't have to feign my scream! i screamed for real! in this ride, you will get a 3D experiences, helping autobots defeating decepticons. imagine megatron right in front of you, trying to grab you!!! after that, we went for TWO EXTREME roller coaster rides. one is called cyclon, the other one is human. but, in these rides, i just feign my scream. hehe, i think i'm quite immune to roller coaster rides after all these times. think again, i love roller coaster ride since i was a small kid. during these times, i usually get dissapointed because i couldn't ride on one since i've not reached the minimum height.

after those two roller coaster ride, we went to another ride. this ride is called 'revenge of the mummies.' it is in the dark roller coaster ride and you wouldn't have the faintest idea of the route. sometimes it can move backwards. near this ride, they are some people acting as the characters from the mummy movies. the are handsome and tough medjais and managed to get photo with anuck sun amun, imhotep's girlfriend. and then we moved to the lost world. we hade to queue long for the canopy flyer ride. in my personal opinion, the queue is long since this ride are available to both adults and children. after the canopy flyer ride, we went to far away land. here, the buildings and characters are based on shrek. we ate at friar tuck which offered halal food. ironic isn't is that friar offered halal food, hehe..

then we rushed to see real action scene from waterworld movies. there are explosions and stunts. we were advised to bring raincoat to watch this action because there are some zones where the audiences will surely get wet. we didn't sit in that zone eventhough we did bring raincoats. all the actors were great and A told me that they even win a lot of awards. after that, we went for a few more rides, sawa a few shows, took a lot of pictures and bought some souvenirs. like i said we spent the whole day at universal studios. we went back to the hotel and get ready for our last day, tomorrow.

on our last day, we checked out and went to bugis villlage to buy souvenirs. to those who want to buy souvenirs in singapore, this is where you should be. the items are really cheap. for example tou could get 4 fridge magnets for only SGD10 and 18 keychains for again SGD10. there are a lot of choices and the shops opened quite early in the morning. when we were done with our shopping, we walked to arab street to get lunch. we shared 1 singapore murtabak (which is quite huge) and 1 chicken beriyani set. we again took MRT and bus to woodlands train checkpoint. after went through immigration and custom checkd, the train departed as scheduled on 1.45pm. but it got delayed along the way and we only arrived at KL Sentral at about 10.30pm. the funny news  is that both liza and me didn't went to work the next day because we are tired. overall, it's a great holiday and i am satisfied. looking forward for another holiday trip soon!!!

thoughts for the day..

'did u even notice that i'm trying my best to get your attention?! until at some points, i feel like a fool. and it sure does made me seem desperate. but, i do realize that i'm just a wallflower, always there but still invisible. if it's meant to be like this forever, i succumb to my fate...'

ps: i hope this particular thoughts reach to the one. q(>_<)p *wishing hard, hehe..*

my dreams from 10 years ago..

i'm currently in the creative mood. okay, i admit.. i'm not very creative but still i have the right to have the 'mood' right, hehe.. because of that, i'm working on a 'whatever scrap book!' a scrap book that can contain anything from nothing to everything! while working on this scrap book, i read back my old diaries. hoho, i do have a few diaries but i didn't wrote in them every single day.just when i'm in the mood, just like i'm writing entry for this blog.

it's actually funny seeing the things that've been written. i only got two diaries at the moment. the first entry started in 2001, during my a-level years. i couldn't believe the things i wrote. and there some events that i've totally forgotten about it! it helps actually having a diary. so, i recommend you guys to have one. like i mentioned before, you don't have to write it every day. just write when you feel like it. for me, diary is different from blog. blog entries are to be seen and heard by everyone and anyone, but diaries are only to be seen and heard by chosen one. the one that you allow to read. normally, a diary is only to be read by the writer.

i went through this diary and i found the dreams i wrote 10 years ago. here there are:
  • furthering my study to germany (achieved but not totally, see below)
  • getting my 'diplom' and passed with flying colours (unachieved due to unavoided circumstances)
  • get a job that interests me with good payment (honestly, still progressing)
  • by my own place and car (place - not yet, car - done)
  • get MBA and then PhD in psychology (put on hold while still strugling with first degree)
  • learn to play piano/violin (hoho, the only musical instrument i could play is recorder!)
  • learn to speak japanese and spanish fluently (argh, no time!<~excuses as always)
  • can offer helps to those in need (always trying my best)
  • work a lot with charity (joined few charity work but mada mada.. <~ see, i do know a little japanese!)
  • become famous! (hey, i was young and stupid back then! hehe..)
  • married to a man of my dream (here are some of my dream man back then! yutaka takenouchi, hayden christensen, matt damon, orlando bloom and keanu reeves.)
ps: currently hooked to a malay song called 'sesaat kau datang' by ramlah ram ft sleeq!

a pleasant surprise!

yesterday i went to watch immortals with A. the movie was rated 18SG here in malaysia. when we were about to enter the cinema, the attendant that was checking our tickets requested for my id. at first, i thought he was joking. but, i later learned that he was serious when he kept our tickets on hold. embarassed, i showed him my id and he let us in. but after some thinking and receiving friends' feedback regarding the incident, i am flattered instead. to think that i could still pass as a minor, hehe...

this incident made me remember the time i was studying in germany. since, we asians are usually small and young lookin compared to the europeans, the people there always mistook us as children. one time, we want to apply 'bahncard', train card that get you discount, the person in charge asked us to bring our parents if and applied it with them. when we told him that we are already adults, he wouldn't believe us until we provided him with our passports. those were the days my friends!

and if you want my review on immortals, i would give in 5/10. the actors were great and so does the effects and surroundings. what made me gave only 5 was the storyline. since i knew a little about greek myth and legend (thanks to mr rick riordan), the movie drifted quite a lot from the original legend. the titans and gods are portrayed differently from the one that i was familiar with (again credit to mr riordan). but if you knew nothing or little about greek myths, the movie would favor just fine. before immortals, i did watch in time with A. i will rate it 7/10. the 3 marks was deducted because of logic. since, i'm quite a logical person (eventhough i do have great imagination), there are a lot of things that can be questioned. the next movie i want to see is puss in boots!

ps: so excited! reason - will go to singapore next week!!!

the dumbest thing!!!

the dumbest thing happened to me today! i thought today was saturday, so naturally it caused me a lot of troubles! first thing, i didn't go to work. how could this happen, you asked? okay, let me replayed what actually happened that made me think today is saturday. the day before is thursday right?! i did some work, that is my assignment. i work late until the morning around 4am. so it's friday already right. the thing that keep playing in my mind is that, it's okay because tomorrow is saturday. i could sleep late, forgetting that i actually have to wake up that friday morning. so, since i set up my mind that tomorrow is saturday, i happily slept through the day. to make things worse, i usually silent my phone during the weekends so that nothing will sleep me. furthermore, i'm having my period so i didn't have to wake up for subuh prayers. when i woke up, it is already 9 o'clock. i saw some missed calls from people at work. and only then i realized when looking at the day and date on my phone that today is only friday. i still wouldn't believe it and checked my laptop. huhu, i have a lot to explain at the office later. to cover my dumb mistake today, i promised my boss that i will come to work tomorrow which is the REAL SATURDAY!!!

charity walk's a success, hooray!!!

the charity walk last saturday is a success. we registered at about 2.30pm. a little later than planned, because i had to pick up my niece and nephew from their piano class at alamanda. after i picked them up, i picked A at her house. then, i dropped my 'charges' at home and headed straight to precint 3. thanks to A, we managed to park at the staff's parking lot. i did mentioned before that A is a staff at putrajaya holding, right?!  we went straight to the registration booth and received our t-shirts and coupons (for food and goodies). as can be seen in the picture, the color of the t-shirt is orange. after that, we went to take a walk along the stalls and booths, get the free food provided (there's a choices of pizza hut, kfc and rasamas). i chose the pizza (1 slice of aloha chicken) and A chose kfc (1 colonel burger). the foods are free. after finishing our lunch, we stayed at A's office until 5pm. the event started at 6.00pm. after the official launching, all of the participants queued behind the starting line. we started early, at about 5.50pm. everyone was excited. me and A walked as we normally would. there were even parents with baby stroller. some were wearing jeans and flip flops. it made me and my sport shoes look a little bit overdressed. we walked form the palace to justice to picc. the walk took about 30 minutes. so overall, the 5km walk took about 1 hour. oh, the event managed to collect rm2.1 millions. if there are such event in the future, me and A would love to join again.

ps: i just started on my assignments, huhu... and right now, the current song that has the deepest meaning to me is tell him by celine dion and barbara streisand...

me n lipsticks: part II

this is a continuation from my entry me n lipsticks... dont' worry, i'm not planning on dwelling on the boring topic lipsticks again. i just think that it would be appropriate to name this entry me n lipsticks: part II since i'm posting the picture of my luscious lips (i wish!), wearing different shades of lipsticks mentioned in the first entry. this is an example of a useless activity done by a bored girl like on a rainy day. well, crossed out the 'rainy day' part. i would do this sort of activity when i have nothing better to do (actually there are a lot of things i need to get done and one of them is completing my FOUR ASSIGNMENTS DUE THIS 13 NOVEMBER!), no matter what the weather is.

i've also have been planning to write a deep and meaningful entry instead of the 'what i do this day and that day' kind. unfortunately, i'm suffering from 'useful blog entry block,' so, please bear with me with this sort of entry, hehe.. as soon as my 'block' is gone, i promise you one good, deep and meaningful entry. in one of my previous entry, i have been reading a book titled 'how to shop for a husband.' i had put that on hold since my 'reading mood' have changed from 'self help english book' to 'malay book.' i've finished about two malay books and now currently on a new one. all of these books are non-fiction and based on the same topic. i'm keeping the topic a secret. perhaps one day, when the time is right, i would reveal the topic to you.

tomorrow is the 'marathon day.' me and A will be there maybe right after zohor. A told me that the organizer has started the preparation today. the marathon will be taken place near my old office and A's current office. couldn't wait to try my 'sport stamina.' and talking about stamina, last deepavali holiday, i went swimming with A at of the public community pool in putrajaya. i planned to go wall climbing after that because we went 'swimming' (we really couldn't swim, so that's the apostrophe for) quite early. despite the 'couldn't swim' part, we still were tired and had to postpone our wall climbing activity on another day. instead, we went to see 'don't be afraid of the dark' at midvalley.

next weekend would be 'eidulaldha' or 'raya haji/raya korban' in malay. my original plan is to go back to segamat after work on friday. but today, i received a call from the head office, saying i have to go for some sort of seminar starting 2 until 4 november. so i will go back from port dickson since the seminar is held there. the distance is reduced, yay! but, i have to go through the seminar (my mind set: seminar is usually boring!).

ps: i bought our universal studio singapore's tickets, hooray!!! really looking forward to it! my dream vacation spot at this moment is india. taj mahal... agra fort... oooo, wait for me please...

Charity Walk (World Hunger Relief 2011)

i just bought new sport shoes for the charity walk that will be held next saturday at putrajaya. why did i have to buy new ones? here's the story. i can't remember whether i've mentioned this before. but, i'm going to tell it anyway, hehe... i have three pairs of sport shoes. why i have so many eventhough i'm not the 'sporty type' is still a puzzle to me. one pair got thrown by my sister's maid, another suffered the same fate. the only difference is the thrower is my mother. and the last pair i have is quite worn out and quite slippery when used. so, i made up my mind to buy a new one. i wouldn't want to fall and got injured during the walk! oh, if you are wondering why my sister's maid and my mom threw out my shoes, here's a quick explanation. my sister's maid threw it by mistake. i put the shoes in a plastic bag after my three weeks training. i planned to wash it later. the maid thought it was rubbish, so she threw them away. couldn't blame her, right? my mom threw away my shoes because it were really worn out. i forgot about the shoes' existence actually. i only remember when i joined the walk. the shoes was at my parent's house. i called my mom to ask about it only to find out it was thrown away. end of story...

oh, about this charity walk, if you are ineterested, you could still register. the closing date is 23rd october, if i'm not mistaken. here's the promotion poster for the walk. you have to pay rm25 for registration. and you could register online at Hooha Asia. otherwise you could register at selected pizza huts and kfc outlets. the walk will be 5km long and will be held at presint 3, putrajaya just in front palace of justice. those who are familiar with putrajaya will easily know the venue.

big bad wolf books 2011

my precious
see.. see.. see.. see what i bought at the big bad wolf books sale (bbw)! the sales started from 7th october until today! hoho, i went there 4 times. the first time was during the first day with A (another book enthusiasist). the second time was on 10th october right after work, alone. the third time was on the same that but later that night with my sis' family. and the fourth and last time earlier today with fatma. the sale was between 75% to 95%. normally, a book that costs rm32.90 would only cost rm8.00. so, who could blame me for buying that many books! it's a BARGAIN!!!

the first time i went, i mostly bought self help books. the second time, romance, the third time general fiction adn the last time i only bought one book, hehe... right now, i'm in the mood to read self help book so currently i'm reading 'how to shop for a husband.' hehe, nice title right? i only read a few pages so i couldn't give any good tips! regarding the bbw, i asked one of the worker there, would it be held every year at the same location and time? i asked because if i knew the future that for this sale, i would save money and bought even more. unfortunately, the worker said that the venue and date would change.but really looking forward to it!!!

mother

have you ever noticed that your mom knows exactly what u want or what u need eventhough u didn't say it out loud? it seems like she could read your mind which is kind of scary if she really could? no secrets from her, right?! hehe, well maybe she did know what's playing on our mind based on our actions or words. here are some examples of the magic things that my mom did:
  • once, during my boarding school years (can't remember which form), i was craving to eat porridge with sambal. and guess what? that weekend, during parent's visit, my mum brought exactly that eventhough i didn't call home stating my crave.
  • another thing to do with dishes. i was on my way back to my parent's house and i keep thinking would it be nic if my mom prepared tom yam. and 'wallah', tom yam is served, hehe...
  • this one happened quite a few times. everytime i'm thinkin about calling my mom, my mom would call me first. i think there's a unique telepathy connection between a mother and her children.
even when i called home, i would insist on talking to my mother first. the line, 'hello, mak ada?' which mean 'is mum there?' when dad answered is normal. i think my father has long accepted the fact that the children prefer to talk to their mom first. so, to all the father out there, do not take offense if your children asked for their mother first while on the phone. it doesn't mean that we love dad less, it just errmm.. it just natural, hehe...

[SONG] Colbie Caillat - Realize

Take time to realize,
That your warmth is. Crashing down on in.
Take time to realize,
That I am on your side
Didn't I, Didn't I tell you.

But I can't spell it out for you,
No it's never gonna be that simple
No I cant spell it out for you

[Chorus:]
If you just realize what I just realized,
Then we'd be perfect for each other
And will never find another
Just realize what I just realized
We'd never have to wonder if
We missed out on each other now

Take time to realize
Oh-oh I'm on your side
Didn't I, didn't I tell you.
Take time to realize
This all can pass you by

But I can't spell it out for you,
No its never gonna be that simple
No I can't spell it out for you.

*Repeat Chorus

It's not the same
No it's never the same
If you don't feel it to.
If you meet me half way
If you would meet me half way.
It could be the same for you.

*Repeat Chorus
If you just realize what I just realized
Missed out on each other now
Missed out on each other now

on cloud nine*sigh*

hehe, i'm so happy, happy, happy, happy!!! the reason?! HI - MI - TSU da yo.. geheimniss.. rahsia.. secret.. couldn't tell and wouldn't tell anyway.. ok, maybe few of my closed friends already knew it. so, to those peeps, please keep it a secret ok.. hehe, and for this reason i'm on cloud nine now and then. all i'm hoping for right now is that this feel i'm feeling would last and perhaps would grow even more, hehe.. the only clue i can give is, this cloud nine feeling have things to do with a really special picture taken ermmm maybe last week?! ;)

so, that's about my happy happy giddy giddy feeling. now, i want to tell you one habit of mine. when i talked with my friends, i usually use this expression,''anak aku..." which literally means "my kid.." to my friends, they would know that i was talking about my future children, but to those who just heard it would assume that i'm already a mother. actually it was one of my closed friends who point this out. otherwise, i never realized it. and another thing she pointed out is i kept saying my kid this, my kid that but never mentioned my husband this, my husband that. i think i've mentioned in one of my previous entry that it's easy for me imagining myself as a mother (because i sometimes helped my siblings as with really itty bitty minor parenting) but never had put myself in a wife spot, hehe..

so, i think that's all for now. insyaAllah, will write again when feeling like it. oh, here's a beautiful video clip from maher zain. i truly honestly want to dedicate this song to this one person that have been on my mind quite often lately...

MAHER ZAIN - FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE

ps: ya Allah, if this feeling is true, if he is truly meant for me, if he is the one that you destined as my husband, please help me and guide me tthrough it. but, if he isn't, please take this feeling away gently. either way, i'm truly thankful to you for giving me this opportunity to know him even only as a friend. thank you, Allah!

contradiction

I came across a joke that was quite interesting and very funny. Here how it goes;

An English Professor wrote a sentence on the board and asked the students to put punctuate it.

"a woman without her man is nothing"

All the males answered:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.

And not surprisingly all the females wrote:
A woman: without her, man is nothing!

And I have to say that I agreed with  the female! ~_^

Anti-Social Mode

I do have anti-social mode once in a while and i really don't know what really caused it. What i do know is when i'm in this mode, i wouldn't want anything to deal with the outside world meaning i would just stay in my room (luckily enough my room was equipped with build-in toilet) and cut contact with the outside world meaning i would shut down all communication devices, at present only my phone and my laptop. If i'm lucky, this mode would surface during weekends or holiday, if i'm unlucky like yesterday, it will surface during my working days and i had to sacrifice my leaves to accomodate it. I couldn't just go see a doctor and asked for a sick leave because i'm in anti-social mode though perhaps my psychiatrist will understand. Then again i wouldn't just go running to him when he just announced i'm stable, would i?

So, two days had been cut out from my yearly leaves. So, you are interested with what i do during this mode? Usually, i just slept through the day AND night! I would wake up wondering the date and time. I usually look at my phone for the date and time, since it's off, i usually just guess and hope it us right. I wouldn't want to turn my phone on because i still don't want to socialize. Usually, the most worried person when i'm in this mode is my mother. She's the only constant person in my life that would call me. Others? Well, they all prefer me to do the calling and i usually wonder why. Honest be told, i usually received call from somebody when they want to ask me for a favour with a few exceptions. Very few actually. Of course, i don't mind doing them the favour if i could, but sometimes i just wish people would really call me just because they are interested in knowing how i am. Well to think again, i'm not being fair. I call lots of people only when i need their favours. Then the saying what goes round comes around is totally true.

Well back to my anti-social mode, besides sleeping, i would do some reading and dvds watching. When i'm hungry, i sneaked into the kitchen, usually when everyone else is asleep. If i'm forced to meet people in this mode, they will definitely see the DARTH VADER side of me. Now, u understand why i have to hid from the world. I keep thinking that this mode would be ok right now because nodody is really depending on me. But it worries me a lot if this mode keep on continuing even when i'm married and have family and children on my own. How will my husband cope when i'm this mode? How will he explained to the children that mummy is unavailable at the moment and the children knew i was just in the bedroom, why wasn't i unavailable? My husband just couldn't tell them that mummy is currently 'cuckoo' and wouldn't function well, could he? Well in this moment, i just hope that what i'm experiencing currently is just hormonal. Once married (hoping someone will have me with the 'cuckoo' side), it will gone! That's all for the moment and thank you for having read it.

happy merdeka raya and happy malaysia day as well!

hello there... it's maybe a little late for me to wish happy 54th independence day (31st august) to all malaysian citizens. it's a cliche statement but i still wanna write it down, make sure your minds are also free. by free, i mean not being conquered (not actually the right word to express my thought but it's all that i could think of right now), by 'alien cultures' that are not suitable for our eastern way. i think you get what i want to convey, right?!

next, i want to wish happy eid mubarak to all muslims in the whole wide world. let us forgive and forget in this holy month. to all my friends that know me, please forgive me for all the wrongdoings i did either intentionally or unintentionally. what next on my greetings list?! oh yeah, happy malaysia day again to all malaysia citizens. to others, on 16th september 1965, malaysia was formally formed with 14 states. it's declared as public holiday just recently. honestly, during my school days i never like history so much. i prefer maths and sciences. but now, i realized, without all those history lessons i received, i would never really understand and appreciated what i have right now.

ermmm, what else? i think that would be all for the time being. let me just summarize my entry..

HAPPY MERDEKA!
HAPPY EIDULFITRI!
HAPPY MALAYSIA DAY!

[SONG] kru ~ tiga kata

Yeah.. lagu ni ditujukan kepada mereka yang sudah lupa erti cinta
Hanya 3 kata sahaja
cukup besar maksudnya

Wo ai ni
I love you
Aku cinta padamu
Tiga kata paling bermakna
Tapi jarangnya didengar
Naan unnai kathalikaraen
Saranghaeyo
Aishiteru
Tiga kata paling menyentuh
Tapi jarangnya disebut

Mungkinkah kerna kita dah terlalu selesa
Keintiman seolah semakin hambar
Dari gerak gaya
Hingga ke tutur kata
Tak menggambarkan cinta

(chorus)
Wo ai ni
I love you
Aku cinta padamu
Tiga kata paling bermakna
Tapi jarangnya didengar

Naan unnai kathalikaraen
Saranghaeyo
Aishiteru
Tiga kata paling menyentuh
Tapi jarangnya disebut
Katakan ci..cinta ci..cinta kamu
Katakan ci..cinta ci..cinta
Walaupun kita saling
Sayang satu sama lain
Tapi kenapa sukar meluahkan rasa

Berikan mereka tahu
Andainya hari esok
Di takdirkan berpisah

Dalam kesibukan
Kita seringkali mula hilang kemesraaan
Dengan mereka disisi
Tak rasa bersyukur
Tak rasa berbangga
Mempunyai bahu setia untuk kita bersandar

Pejamkan matamu
Lihat lah di hatiku
Semua kasih terhimpun,
Dibiarkan terkurung
Jadi keluarkan
Sekarang luahkan

(chorus)

Katakan ci..cinta ci..cinta kamu
Katakan ci..cinta ci..cinta (aku cinta padamu)

Wo aini..i love you

my latest obsession...

dear bloggie,

meteor shower

view from top of the hill
last tuesday, A informed me that there will be meteor showers happening starting from 9 august till 13 august. so, we planned to have a picnic at the top of precint 11 hill. it's the only place i can think about. i picked A up on about 9pm. we bought food for 'sahur'(eventhough i'm not fasting yet). after that, we surveyed the place or location. just after i parked my car, a security guard came and asked us what were we doing there quite late at night. the hill is also a place for jogging. we just told him that we were just admiring the view while taking some photograps. he still insist that we shouldn't be there and warned us af the danger that could happen including warning us that there we even phython there. we just brushed it off(not in arrogant sorf of way, a nice kind of brushing off) and said that we would be fine. tired of our stubborness, he rode away (he's riding a motorcycle). after satisfied by the spot chosen, we went back to my sister house and get some sleep.

we woke up the next morning at about 4am. i even borrowed my sister's picnic mat. we brought our foods, drinks and camera. alhamdulliah, it wasn't raining anymore. last night, when we surveyed the place, it was drizzling. so, we spread the mat and prepared our 'sahur.' all done, we were about to lay down and looking at the clear sky, a group of people came. at first i thought it was the park worker coming to work early. but it turned out to be a group of policemen. they asked the same question as the security guard before. so, we told them the same answer. they were not easily 'removed' as the security guard, so me and A start babbling about scientific facts so that they'll be bored by our conversation and just would just move away. our tactic worked successfully, hehe...

so, with no more disturbance, we lay down and started to watch the sky. at first, we just saw a few stars. we tried to identify them and the only star that we could identify is the north star (easy, 'cos it's the brightest) and the orion (again easy, 'cos they are 3 in rows). so, to keep ourselves from not falling asleep, we talked and talked on different topic. so, suddenly one of the topic steered us to patriotic songs. we sang a few a them out loud, hoping that nobody would heard us. then, out of the sudden 'cheeeewww', we saw one meteor. we clapped happily. btw, i'm quite certain that the meteor shower doesn't made sound such as 'cheeewww'.it's just my expression. so, we waited and waited and we saw another one. hooray! we were quite satisfied. at least our picnic early in the morning is fruitful. then, A saw one that i didn't. later, i saw one that A didn't. so total meteor we saw that night is four altogether. and we planned to do it again this friday a.k.a saturday morning. hoping to see more this time!

my wish(es)...

just wanna list my some of my wishes:
  • i wish i could play bigger part in helping all the unfortunate ppl (especially children) aroun the world. when i saw clips or read news about their misfortune, i really really really wish that i could help. i want to be like mother theresa, devoting her life for the unfortunates.
  • i wish i was pretty damn rich. yeah, there's saying that money can't buy happiness but for me honestly it can if it is spend the right way. other than fulfilling own needs, why don't try spending it on others who really need it (see above).
  • i wish i was a better person, meaning stop complaining about small matters. try to imagine one in tougher situation than usually are. have to realize that really am lucky and fortunate to have the luxury of basic needs such as shelters and foods.  really need to learn to become more grateful especially in this holy fasting month. we only fast for half a day, while others have nothing to eat for more than several days.
so, if your wish are a bit like mine, even a bit, why don't we take some actions that we could by contributing for organizations like unicef and worldvision. thank you for your supports!

pheeww, what a day!

the cake chosen (only it will be rectangle insted of round)

today is the 4th day of ramadhan. but i'm on my 'break' for breakfasting beginnig yesterday, hehe... ok, today right after work, i rushed to alamanda because my sister had asked me for a favor. she wanted me to book a cake for her daughter a.k.a my niece birthday this sunday. actually, my niece's birthday is on the 8th of august (monday). but since, they wanto to invite people over, it would be much more convenient to do it on sunday instead of monday. so, my sister asked me to book an ice cream cake from baskin robbins. i looked at the catalogue, i asked questions, i compared prices and all other things people normally do before making  a purchase. the sales assisstant was very helpful. so affetr a few calls and negotiation, i've finally made up my mind on which cake i want to buy. i was ready to pay, but only then i realized that i left my wallet at the office.

i apologized to the boy (sales assisstant) explaining the situation to him, luckily he understand. i made a quick call to my boss (he's the one holding the office's keys), hoping he was still at the office. since it's ramadhan, people uusually went back earlier than usual. again, alhamdulillah, he was still at the offiice and my wallt was there, where i left it. he asked me to meet him at 'pasar ramadhan'. i said ok and hung up. then, i realized another small problem, how would i pay for the parking ticket! i have no money with me! another solution strucked my by, the coins that i have in my car. i paid my ticket (RM1) and went to get my wallet from my boss. i went back to alamanda and finally paid for the cake.

trip to bukittinggi indonesia

view as we were about to land (nice sun)
starting from friday last week until tuesday this week, i was in indonesia. i went there with my parents, uncle and aunts. my brother send us to lcct. our flight to padang is 7am, but we were there early, about 5.40am. we don't want to be late since both of my sisters told us from experienced, it will be crowded. we departed from lcct, not from klia. we checked in and alhamdulillah, everything went on smoothly. after checked in, we went for subuh prayers. the prayer room was a little bit crowded. after that, we had some light breakfast. the flight was as scheduled and we arrived as scheduled as well. it was a smooth flight. my seat, as usual is by the window and by the wings. i love to sit at the wings 'cos i love to see it flaps, hehe.. some might say that i love to see at the wings, so that i'm among the first to realize malfunction at the wings.

car broke down (from left : putri's dad, my dad & handsome stranger =p)
at the airport, we went through the immigration. it took quite sometimes because only two counters were available and honestly i was impressed by their system. they took all of aur fingerprints and our picture. we didn't done that in malaysia (i think). putri (my sister maid's) was already there waiting with her father. we planned to check in at the hotel first (parai hotel) and after that went to visit putri's house. unfortunately, our rental car broke time a few times and it made the journey longer. one time, we even met another person with his car broke down as well (may i mention that he's quite good looking, hoho..). the journey from the airport (the indonesians called aiport as 'bandara' as 'bandar udara' which translated into 'air city') to our hotel is about 90km but it took almost 5 hours. the road there was also small and winding (since it climbing hills).

from left : mak ijat, ririn (putri's sis), mak yah, my mom, putri and her brother, aziz
we checked in our hotel and went to putri's house. from our hotel to putri's house is only 6km by again because of the road condition, it took 15 minutes. the first thing i bought is a local prepaid for easy communication. putri's family welcome us with open arms and greeted us warmly. her mom had already prepared quite a grand meals for us (we actually had lunch while waiting for the car to get fixed). we considered the meals as our dinner. putri's the eldest and she have 2 younger sisters and 1 brother (the youngest). her house is very small and consist only 1 living room adn 1 bedroom. toilet and kitchen are outside. made me felt guilty for taking the luxury i had for granted. yup, compared to them, our middle class homes are a luxury. but they do have electrical gadgets such as tv and fridge. after meals, putri and her siblings took us around her village and i truly felt at village. there were paddy fields, kids palting kites and many more that are significant to village. after touring the village, putri's sister's boyfriend sent us back to the hotel and we rest for tomorrow began our journey as tourists, hehe...

self taken pic in front of 'istana pagar ruyung'
on our second day, we went to see istana pagar ruyung for padang is famous for its minangkabau. and minangkabau (negeri sembilan) in malaysia originated from padang as well. unfortunately, the castle was strucked by lightning in 2007 and they still recimstructing it and we could only see the outside. they sold alot of 'sawo' or 'ciku' in malay. along the way, we saw a lot of 'ciku' trees. they were sweet. we also bought a few souvniers. and if i'm not mistaken, the journey from our hotel to the castle took also 2 hours. there's no highway or big roads here. they have only small and winding roads. and they also honked quite a lot. at first, we were quite shocked to see the frequency of the honking, hehe.. next, we have dinner at 'danau singkarak' or singkarak lake. the lake is very big. we also stopped to buy some salted fish for they were fresh and cheap. then, we went to the city (famous for its 'jam gadang') adn shop a little more. that night, putri and her family will be staying with us at the hotel. so, we bought some fried chicken and other foods. i also bought some 'bunga api' but it were not good, 'masuk angin'.

we crossed the equator
the next day, we went to the equator. at the 'equator' there's also a museum called 'imam bonjol museum.' imam bonjol is one of the brave people that fought for indonesia's independence. after taking photos, buying souveniers and visiting the museum, we went back to bukittinggi. this time, we entered the zoo. putri and i went through all of the exhibits, but the elders (huhu, elders..), only went to some and they have to wait for us. for the next day, we were on our own. putri and her family were busy making preparation for small 'kenduri kesyukuran.' the first thing we visit is the market called 'aur kunin' for another shopping spree. me and my mom were quite done with our shopping, so we just wait for my two aunts to get their shopping done. shopping done, we went to the historical part of bukittinggi known as 'lubang jepang' or 'japanese tunnel.' it was very interesting knowing all the history behind the tunnelm construction (we have a tour guide to explain everything to us). the tunnel was undone since japan lost the WWII. but the research they did to build the tunnel (at that time, with old technology etc) was marvellous and unbelievable. after finishing our visit, we again went to putri's house for the 'kenduri.'

another self taken pic in front of the waterfall
so, the last day finally came. our group went first to the airport since we wanted to make a few stops a long the way. we stoped at the beautiful waterfall. it was breathtaking, subhnallah. we also had lunch before heading to the airport. we waited for putri and her family. we said our thanks and goodbye. putri was very sad leaving her family and also only days from ramadhan. our flight home was again smooth and on scheduled. my brother was already waiting and we went home. i had such a nice time there and my 5 days there flew by just like that. if i fave the time and money, i would love to have another holiday just like this but perhaps to another country. the countries i had in mind are thailand and cambodia, hehe... insyaAllah, one day i will...

BMT II 2011

my team mates
yeah, i've graduated the BMT. it started on friday and end this evening at about 1.30pm. alhamdulillah, nothing bad happened. really learned a lot of new things, made quite a few friends and of course gained a lot of experiences. i couldn't tell anything about what we did because at the starting of this course, we were to sign an agreement saying basically, what ever heppened durung the training stayed in the training. and for a good reason at that. so, right now, my body is aching all over since i'm really not an outdoor type of person, hehe... it's the same as that time during sport day in school. if i remembered correctly, the term we used for the aching is 'pecah lemak.' really painful to bend you legs. and for that reason, i even prayed in sitting position. now, the bad thing that playing in my mind is,'would i be able to get MC tomorrow?' hehehe... ok, i think that's all for now, until later, daaaa...

[SONG] the band perry ~ walk me down the middle

I was meant to be by your side
And I have waited here a long time
For you to turn around and notice me
But now you're here holding hands with me

Walk me down the middle of the county fair
Walk me down the middle like you don't care
Walk me by the ferris wheel
And make sure that she sees
Let the whole world know you belong to me

I heard about your bitter end
About how she stole your heart and put it back again
Well I may not be the prettiest girl around
But I sure am a sight for sore, sore eyes

Walk me down the middle of Main Street
Walk me down where the whole town will be
I don't need no parade
But make sure that she sees
Let the whole world know you belong to me

I'd walk through fire for you
Walk through barbed wire for you
I'd walk miles, it's true
Just to be with you

If you walk me down the middle of my momma's church
Walk me down that aisle in your finest shirt
Let the whole world know you will
Walk me down the middle of the county fair
Walk me down the middle like you don't care
Walk me by the ferris wheel
And make sure they see
Let the whole world know you belong to me
You belong to me
