kuala lumpur international bookfair 2012

books (comics) that i bought
yesterday, i managed to drag my niece, yasmin and putri to kl international bookfair 2012 at pwtc. we went early because we didn't know the condition of the traffics going there since there's a bersih 3.0 demonstration the day before. so, many roads were closed. alhamdulillah, the coast were cleared and we managed to get there safely. and then, there was the ordeal of finding a parking spot.

after we were safely parked, i wanted to draw money first! huhu, it took me about one hour just for that purpose. most the atm machines are all out of money (even the one at the mall) since most people want to draw money for the bookfair. there were a lot of people and to those who knew me, will know that i hate crowded places. i don't like going to pasar ramadhan, pasar tani, pasar malam and others for that particular reason. but i'm willing to make and exception if books are involved, hehe... but, it' a great thing to know that malaysians love to read!

we went from one booth from another and it's really a bargain. but since i've already bought a lot of books from last year big bad wolf that haven't been read yet, i only bought a few comics and one book (like the one in the picture above). putri bought a couple of books for herself and yasmin didn't bought anything since nothing interested her. after finishing our tour at the book fair, we went to the mines to fix putri's handphone. she bought it there. we had lunch and putri's phone will be ready the next day. i told them that i will pick it on 1st may since it's a public holiday.

ps: my cousin is getting married on 2nd june and i think the book 'bekalan pengantin' will make a great gift. i went through the book briefly and i like the way of writing. it's fun to read. and this 1st may, rick riordan's new book on egypt god chronicles will be out! yeah, couldn't wait! i'm still on holiday. i will only start working this wednesday! currently hook on this song 'kisah kita ~ hunny madu & anuar zain.'
