standard chartered fun run & ruza's wedding

standard chartered fun run

well, last saturday A and i joined the standard chartered fun run. the registration is free. it's actually one of the event for the himpunan jutaan belia in putrajaya. we are in the woman senior category, mind the senior.. hehe.. we have to run 5km which we did finished but i only ran about 1.5km and A said she ran 1km. well, the most important thing is we finished the race! btw, i think we covered more than 5km since we walked from A's office in precint 3!

after the run, we rushed back to segamat since we are going to attend our schoolmate's wedding. we met hawa at my house. we arrived at ruza's house which is at felda maokil at about 4pm. i think we were among the last  guest. after wishing the newlywed their wedding bliss, i showed my two besties around segamat. we surveyed a karaoke place and i almost lost my phone during this time. alhamdulillah, i found it and i immediately installed iphone finder apps. since hawa want to buy shoes, i brought them to segamat newest mall. done with that, we went back home and went out again for our three hours karaoke session.

after that, we continue our activity at home by playing cluedo and boogle! it's a card game and it's fun! we felt like we are having a sleepover and that made us feel young all over again, not saying we are old or such, hehe.. and on sunday, we went back to our working cities. but, we already made an appointment next week for lokman's wedding! couldn't wait for another pyjamas party!!!

ps: how hard is it to say 'i love you' to the person you really meant it for? love outside family and friend circle, if you know what i meant... ;)

school holiday ist wieder da!!!

well, the school holiday is here again. this time it's for two weeks.. heaven for the students and teachers, but h*ll for us at the passport department! it's logic. when it's holiday, people want to have a memorable vacation with their loved ones. since now, flight tickets are more affordable, people manage to travel abroad. when travelling abroad, one of the must have is passport, hence the reason for us feeling like h*ell at the passport department during this time of the year. another cliche thing about school holiday is wedding! i'm totally booked starting next week until the next two weeks. seems like people are racing to get married, huhu.. let me list the weddings:

• 26 may: ruza (stj99) ~ segamat, johor
• 2 june: ayat (my cousin) ~ segamat, johor
• 3 june: wani (primary school) ~ segamat, johor
• 9 june: lokman (stj99) ~ jb, johor
• 16 june: apad & fadhil (a-level) ~ segamat, johor

so, i will be doing a lot of travelling back to johor this month and next month. already bought the gifts. actually, one of my hobby is wrapping gift...

i went to watch movies yesterday. A and i went to bukit jalil national stadium (got football match between kelantan n sime darby) first to pick up our race kits for the standard chartered fun run this saturday. there we met oleen and then we moved to mines for i putri's new phone got some problems. while waiting for the phone to be fixed, we watched nongkrong and it was funny. it was A's first time watching malay movie at the cinema. when all is done, i dropped oleen at putrajaya central and went to alamanda to continue with our second movie, what to expect when you are expecting?

the thing is, after watching 'the golden compass', i rushed to the bookstore and read the other two books.. after watching twilight, i quickly called my bffs (Siti Awed Patumin n A), knowing they have the complete works to lend those books.. after percy jackson & the lightning thief, well i rushed to the bookstore again to read the complete works and thanks to that i'm hooked to the current series.. and after watching 'what's to expect when you're expecting?',guess what?! even it's a lil bit weird, i was scrambling through my sister's bookshelves for the book! i know she had one! cursed me n my curiousity...

earlier today, A and i went to macy's. we just want to have a look. and i bought one of my wedding gifts there. after macy's, we headed to jusco, equine to hunt more wedding gifts. done at jusco, i stopped by kak ala's house. since the day is still early, i dragged A to alamanda and bought my last wedding gift for the day. i'm also searching for timmy time merchandise for alif's birthday present but couldn't find any. kak sya is having alif's belated birthday party this sunday. hope i could make it since i will be at segamat during that time. well, that's all the update for now! until later..

ps: will start 'training' for the run tomorrow with A! :)

happy teacher's day 2012

as mentioned several times before, my parents were taechers. and on every teacher's day, i remembered my dad sang the 'teacher's song' even at home that made me remembered a few lines from that song as well. and now, during each teacher's day, i sing the lines that i remembered eventhough i'm not a teacher. thanks to my dad for giving me the 'bug.' but actually, i always want to be a teacher. even until now. well, maybe there's still time for me to make my dream of being a teacher comes true. and to all the teachers in the world, happy teacher's day and thank you for everything! btw, here's the teachers' song mentioned:

happy mother's day 2012

Does this situation familiar to you? No matter how old you are, when calling home, your opening line would be,'is mom there?', even when the one answering the phone is another important person in your life, your dad! The first person you want to talk to is always your mom. Couldn't remember the last time i called home and my opening line,'is dad there?'huhu.. Sorry dad, it doesn't mean that i love you less or maybe a lil bit, but being in mom's womb for 9 months and 10 days, gave us a bond that is so important and special. So, to my beloved mom, pn hindon othman, happy mother's day! Love you so very much!!

absent minded me

huh? what? say again?

yes, i am absent minded. today, i lost my parking ticket AGAIN! this time at jusco equine, seri kembangan. the the fine is RM20. let me recall my lost tickets history. the first time was at ioi mall, puchong in maybe 2005. the fine is RM30. the second incident was at klcc, year. this time the fine is RM50! but, alhamdulillah i found the ticket under the car beside mine. so, i got refund. i didn't think to look under other's cars during that time. just mine. the next incident was earlier this year at ioi mall again. fine remain the same but this time, my mom paid it for me! thanks mom! and the latest one was today, huhu..

losing parking tickets is not the only thing that made me absent minded! have you ever threw money in a dustbin? well, i have! quite a few times actually. i was holding money in my hand. after a while, i forgot it was money, thought it was just trash paper. threw it in the dustbin without looking. arrived home and realized  that money wasn't enough. think it through,'ya Allah, i threw it away!' if i remember correctly, the biggest amount is RM50... other proofs are:

• using the car remote to slow down the tv volume! baffled why the volume didn't change and then realized it was the wrong remote. fortunately, car was park where the signal couldn't reach!
• putting on different pair of shoes. walked confidently without realizing anything wrong because both shoes are black and have the same heel heights. only knew the mistake when my sister commented on it.. hoping that others didn't notice!
• looking for spectacles only realizing am wearing it! (i think this is common)

i knew that some of you people have the same problem as mine. oh, last monday i lost RM200 to a new car battery. i couldn't start my car after work that day and i did suspect that weak battery is the 'culprit.' this is the second time it happened to me. the first time was about two and a half years ago. it was after i filled in gas at shell. my guy friends helped me by first pushing the car and tried to start it. FAILED. next, the used jumper! also FAILED! after that, they transferred my friend car battery into mine and start the engine. SUCCEED!

they told me to drive (try not to get the engine dead, otherwise it wouldn't start again) to the nearest car accessories shop and get a new battery. i really am thankful to the and grateful that it happened at convenient place. by convenient, i meant places where help is easy to get. the first incident also happened at a convenient place. i couldn't imagine if it happened at a deserted place and helps are hard to find.

ps: this sunday is mother's day and 16 may is teacher's day! happy mother's day to all the mothers in the world and happy teacher's day to all the teachers in the whole world too!
