[SONG] miss a ~ i don't need a man

musical activities

here are some of my recent musical activities. when i mentioned 'my' musical activities, i wasn't involved in the production. i'm obviously the audience since i have no musical talent. like i mentioned before, the only musical i can play is the recorder but that was way back to primary school. i forgot all the notes and how to read them.

as for singing, let just say that i'm only suited in singing while in the bathroom, when i'm alone or during karaoke session with my buddies! my buddies wouldn't mind my 'out of pitch' volume since they were used to it or because they are too polite and kind to mention it to me, hehe..

THE MUSIC OF HARRY POTTER

as shown on the ticket, miss A and i went to the Harry Potter Musical on 12 may 2013 at dewan filharmonik petronas. this time, we went with kak sya's family but our seat were one row apart. overall, the concert was great and satisfying. actually, after the musical, i got another musical event that i plan to go to but...

ASIA SUPER SHOWCASE 2013

the showcase was cancelled and postponed due to the demonstration by the opposition. they were concerned about the safety of our country. this showcase was one week after the general election. i bought this ticket because of shinhwa. the other two acts that were scheduled to perform are girl's generation and ace of angel. the malaysia shinhwa changjo had already sold t-shirts and lightsticks to be used during the showcase.

until now, there is no mention when is the new date, is the casts will remain or the refund method. if shinhwa was not one of the cast, i am sure asking for the refund. the price of the ticket is not cheap!

TEATER NYONYA AND THE GANG

last monday, oleen, miss A and i went to istana budaya to watch 'nyonya and the gang' theater. it was said at the ticket that this theater got two performance instead of one. one is about the nyonya and the one is performed by 'the gang!' the casts for the nyonya theater are mardiana alwi, amy mastura, kiah propa, fara fauzana, misha omar and taiyuddin bakar. it was about the struggle of inheritance.

meanwhile, the gang performance is purely singing and dancing. they mostly touch the topics on health and patriotism. honestly, their performance was mediocre and quite boring. a few audience went back after intermission that is during 'the gang' performed. the nyonya theater is only so-so in my inartistic's eyes.

COPPELIA

on the 6 of july, miss a and i will be going back to istana budaya to watch this ballet performance, coppelia. it's our first ballet show. coppelia concerns an inventor, Dr Coppelius, who has made a life-size dancing doll. It is so lifelike that Franz, a village swain, becomes infatuated with it and sets aside his true heart's desire, Swanhilde. She shows him his folly by dressing as the doll, pretending to make it come to life and ultimately saving him from an untimely end at the hands of the inventor.<~italic since i copied and pasted it from wikipedia.. ;)

wwf panda adoption

yay, my panda adoption's finally approved! well, like the certificate says that i've been symbolically adopted it. if you are also interested in adopting one, you can go to wwf website. you can choose to either adopt a panda (like me), a turtle, a tiger or an orangutan. again, you can choose either to donate once or monthly. i chose to donate RM38/month which being automatically deducted from my bank account.

once, your adoption is approved, you'll get ad adoption kit. the kit contains the adoption certificate, pamphlet containing some info the animal you choose to adopt and a cute soft toy again depending on the animal you choose to adopt. once you fill the online application form to adopt, the wwf staff will call you to confirm your application. in my case, i knew that my application is approved once i received the adoption kit .

when i say the parcel, the first thought that came to my mind is,'erk, i've received all the purchases i made online! then, what was inside this parcel? did i bought another things online without realizing it like sleepshopping?' and then, i read the sender's address and i knew it was the adoption kit from wwf. another thing that made my day!!! this one was the bestest of them all!!!

stuffs that made my days...

lately, life at the office is pretty hectic because of the two weeks school holiday. lots of people come to either make or renew their passports. since, we are still in the phase of upgrading our passports all around malaysia, the new passport processing machines and our system are still unstable. we need three days to process the passports (this was announced by our director general in the newspaper).

but since putrajaya is the first office to use this new machine, our system are more stable compared to others. we need only 1/2 day to process the passports. so, most people will come to us because our processing time is shorter. i have to admit that i was stressed out. but, these few stuffs really made my day!

i bought all the stuffs online. the handbag at zalora and the cds at yesasia. exile is my favorite japanese band and shinhwa is my favorite korean band. i bought the cds online because it's hard to find them at the local store. and as for the handbag is unintended, well, let just say it's the result of surfing online. the shinhwa cd came with a great photobook!

THE thesis

alhamdulillah, finally i manage to complete my first degree after six long years, two years just for final project a.k.a thesis. actually, my thesis is incomplete but my generous supervisor (i honestly think that she's actually tired of being my supervisor) passed me. and eventhough my graduation date isn't being set yet, i've already dreaming on continuing me study to the next level, that's master! planning on taking course that's related to psychology and such., in sha Allah..
