13th malaysia general election

around GE13 nearby my village
the 13th malaysia election was held yesterday on 05/05/2013, a very nice date if you ask me. this time the use on inedible ink is introduced. i already at hometown on thursday, 02/05/2013 ready to perform my duty and right as a malaysian citizen. this is my second time voting. my first was on 2008. actuallly, according to my age, i would have voted three time already. but the first time i was eligible to vote was 2004 and i was not in malaysia during that time.

during the previous GE, i voted in the evening. i had to wait for my sister to cast her vote in putrajaya first. only then, we went back to segamat. this time, since i have my own transportation, i could come back home early. i already applied leave early for it. so, this time my parents, my brother abg ijan, my sister kak ala and i went to vote early. we were already in queue before 8am. as strong BN supporters, all of us accept abg ijan (not that he was not a BN supporter) wore blue colored clothing. all of us done casting our votes before 9.15am.

after that, we were told that whoever lived outside segamat could get compensation money for coming home to vote. so, kak ala, abg ijan and i all got RM50 each which my brother and sister gave to my mother aftewards. me? i'm always short of money, huhu.. of course my lovely mom knew all about that so she's my favorite person to ask money from if something out of my budget happened eg: car broke down suddenly, extra payment for tuition fees etc.

i think i have ashamedly confessed to my way of spending money before in this blog. it's not that i have no saving at all, i do and it was controlled by my mom. if it was controlled by me, there would be no saving at all! gee, i do have to get my money management straight!

abg ijan was the first to get leave kampung. he received a call from one of his colleague saying that one of the machine to clean mussels has exploded. abg ijan has a mussels business. he and his partners rear the mussels and then export it. their business is somewhere in kukup if i'm not mistaken but their main office is in kuala lumpur. so abg ijan went to kukup to see to the problem.

after that, around 3pm i started making my move to go back to putrajaya. about half an hour later, kak ala took off. alhamdulillah, the road was clear all the way for me. kak ala unfortunately had to encounter traffic-jam since there was accident at the road she chose to take. kak ala prefer entering the highway from tangkak and i prefer entering the highway from simpang empat.

i safely arrived at putrajaya around 5.45pm. i went to alamanda first before heading home. and after arriving home, i'm hooked to the television waiting for the election results anxiously until wee hours in the morning. i don't really care if it would be declared holiday or not since i'm already on leave. when BN already won simple majority, enough for it to form the next malaysian government, i was relieved. really relieved! my opinion on this GE was not so different from my opinion during the previous election. you can read it here. Below are the results of this 13th GE.
