Another Raya 2012 Ads ~ Sepasang Baju Kurung

i think i need to apologize for kept posting ads, huhu.. but, as i mentioned before, i couldn't help it.. this ads is about a relationship between a mom and her daughter. sometimes, the daughter treat her mom as if she's a servant. she must do lot of chores around the house and if didn't do it right, she would get scolded by her daughter. since raya is coming soon, she plead to her daughter, to buy her a new baju kurung. the daughter said she would think of it.

so one day, the daughter did bought her mom baju kurung and gave it to her mother. the mother face lights up when she received it. that night, the daughter saw her won daughter slept while hugging her new clothes and it reminded her of her own childhood, where she acted the same. it also reminded her of the motherly love she received. this made her realized her mistake and went to apologize her mom.

i'm really grateful for my own mother. i know i was such a trial to her, being naughty, stubborn so on and so on. i'm also grateful that i came from a middle class family. we may not be rich but we are not poor, alhamdulillah. i remembered i get almost everything i wanted as a kid as long as my parents could afford it and as long as it was not ridiculous. i usually asked them for books. i rarely asked for toys or clothes, hehe.. it's not that i'm not a playful kids, it just i preferred books to toys. but please don't mistaken me as a nerd. i'm far from being one! ;)

ps: i remembered one raya, i wore 'smurfs' baju kurung! i chose the fabrics that was meant to make curtains or bedsheets, to make my baju raya. i remembered my mom and my sisters asked me many many times, if i'm sure about my choice. yup, being stubborn and all, i told them i'm 100% sure. haha, i wore 'curtains/bedsheets' during raya. but i bet, other children were jealous of my baju raya since their parents are sensible enough not to let them wear it. it's not that my parents are not sensible. they just knew that it was a loss cause to put sense into their last daughter's thickheaded mind! :)

TM Raya Ads 2012 ~ A Love Raya Story

haha, seems that i kept posting raya advertisements lately! i couldn't help it. everytime i saw an advertisment that i found interesting and could relate with, i want to comment on it. this one is very sweet. they (TM) had previous advertisements that related to this one. it started with a friendships between three teenagers from different backgrounds and race. the malay boy is asri, the indian boy is kumar and the chinese tomboy is mei.

they showed parts and bits from the previous ads, so people could understand the relationships that developed between asri and mei better. what i like the most about this ads is their FB status. mei's 'sedang mengharap (am hoping)', mei's and asri's 'sudah berpunya (taken)', and kumar's 'mengharap bulan jatuh ke riba (hoping for miracles).'

ps: after watching this ads, i'm really tempted to write mei's status, 'am hoping' on my fb... :p

BERNAS | Hari Raya 2012 ~ The Journey

okay, here's another meaningful raya advertisement from BERNAS. it's about a couple of special needs orphan that want to go back to kampung to celebrate raya like their friends. so, please watch the clip and you'll understand why i'm saying it's meaningful. i was deeply touched when i first watched it. it made me cried, huhu..

another special thing about this advertisement is the destination of the orphans. yes, it's none other than my hometown, segamat. and if i'm not mistaken, the ticket counters and the train station that is shown in the clip is in bahau, another place that is memorable for me. i went to STJ and it it located in kuala pilah. when, we (the southerners) couldn't get tickets from kuala pilah, we would get them from bahau.

i remembered some naughty things i did during that time. we were supposed to wear our official baju batik, everytime we went for an outing. since, we didn't want to look 'skema' by wearing them, most of us would change into our normal clothes at the bus/train station. it doesn't mean that we aren't proud of our school, it just at that moment, we think it we would look 'cool' by disobeying the rules! well, we were teenagers and it is our job to rebel, hehe...

but usually, our school would directly chartered buses for us since we (the southerners) were high in numbers and it is possible for us to fill in one whole bus. so, during peak season such as raya or end of  semester break, we wouldn't face the possibility of not getting the tickects. the bus would wait at our school. the familiar buses that we used were TRANSNASIONAL or CEPAT  EKSPRESS.

it was always fun during the ride. we sang, we played and we did whatever we wanted in the bus since it was only us in it. no adults to 'sound' us, hehe.. i'm usually the first one to get off the bus since segamat is the first stop. i couldn't remember exactly the bus ticket price from pilah to segamat, maybe around RM8. if it took the bus from bahau, it would only cost me RM6 and the train costs only RM3.80. the train wasn't an express train, so it would stop at every station, no matter how deserted or small it is. so, it would take times but i didn't mind since i could spend more time with my friends before the separation during holidays.

ps: i cried easily when seeing things like this. i probably mentioned this before, hehe.. there is one dream that i hope i could realize. that is working with the unfortunate such as orphans or elderly. maybe, working with the social service department. this job would give me the most satisfaction. so, i'm praying hard and trying hard to make it true...
