BERNAS | Hari Raya 2012 ~ The Journey

okay, here's another meaningful raya advertisement from BERNAS. it's about a couple of special needs orphan that want to go back to kampung to celebrate raya like their friends. so, please watch the clip and you'll understand why i'm saying it's meaningful. i was deeply touched when i first watched it. it made me cried, huhu..

another special thing about this advertisement is the destination of the orphans. yes, it's none other than my hometown, segamat. and if i'm not mistaken, the ticket counters and the train station that is shown in the clip is in bahau, another place that is memorable for me. i went to STJ and it it located in kuala pilah. when, we (the southerners) couldn't get tickets from kuala pilah, we would get them from bahau.

i remembered some naughty things i did during that time. we were supposed to wear our official baju batik, everytime we went for an outing. since, we didn't want to look 'skema' by wearing them, most of us would change into our normal clothes at the bus/train station. it doesn't mean that we aren't proud of our school, it just at that moment, we think it we would look 'cool' by disobeying the rules! well, we were teenagers and it is our job to rebel, hehe...

but usually, our school would directly chartered buses for us since we (the southerners) were high in numbers and it is possible for us to fill in one whole bus. so, during peak season such as raya or end of  semester break, we wouldn't face the possibility of not getting the tickects. the bus would wait at our school. the familiar buses that we used were TRANSNASIONAL or CEPAT  EKSPRESS.

it was always fun during the ride. we sang, we played and we did whatever we wanted in the bus since it was only us in it. no adults to 'sound' us, hehe.. i'm usually the first one to get off the bus since segamat is the first stop. i couldn't remember exactly the bus ticket price from pilah to segamat, maybe around RM8. if it took the bus from bahau, it would only cost me RM6 and the train costs only RM3.80. the train wasn't an express train, so it would stop at every station, no matter how deserted or small it is. so, it would take times but i didn't mind since i could spend more time with my friends before the separation during holidays.

ps: i cried easily when seeing things like this. i probably mentioned this before, hehe.. there is one dream that i hope i could realize. that is working with the unfortunate such as orphans or elderly. maybe, working with the social service department. this job would give me the most satisfaction. so, i'm praying hard and trying hard to make it true...
