as usual, petronas commercials are always touching! eventhough allahyarhamah yasmin ahmad is not with us anymore, the commercial is still meaningful. eventhough i never been in uzbek, but i think i know how it felt like to celebrate ramadhan or raya in a foreign land. and when you've been there, you usually will love your country more. by watching this commercial, i learn to love and appreciate malaysia even more.
it's true, nothing beats your homeland. as a malay proverb directly translated by me, gold rain in other country, hailstones in our own, always better at our own! haha, it sound so much better in malay, hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri, baik lagi di negeri sendiri. we are very fortunate to live in this peaceful country. i'm not saying this because the campaign that being around lately for independence day this 31 august. i'm saying this because it's what i truly felt all these times.
ps: i'm proud to be malaysian! and maybe this wish is coming a little late, since everyone had already mentioning it everywhere, i still want to say it here. congratulation dato' lee chong wei! you did your best and all of us could see it. thank you so very much!
