irfan's birthday bash!

mind the mistake ;)

salam.. yesterday was my nephew, irfan's 7th birthday celebration. his birthday is actually on 7th february but the party has been postpone to the weekend to make it more convenient. this year, hes birthday is held at kizsports and gym, bangsar village. honestly, it's the first time i heard of that place. i passed bangsar quite a few times but i never notice the place. when i arrived there (thank god for the gps), it is actually a shopping mall. and here i stupidly imagine, it was a village (some sort of market place) in the city. the place is a heaven for children. it has a big jungle gym and to play inside, you must wear socks. my brother and sister-in-law left their four children under my take because they had to attend business elsewhere. all of them didn't bring socks, so i have to buy them which later i redeemed the money from my brother, haha.. it's middle of the month and i'm broke!

kizsports & gym, bangsar village II

the event started at about 4pm. there's a guy that act as the MC and brought all the kids to the game room. they played three games altogether. the first game goes like this. the light in the room was switched off and a disco light is on. all the children must dance to the music. and when the music stopped, the MC will announce a number and the children must group themselves according to the number annouced. if the MC said three, then the must be three person in the group. since my nephews and nieces total up to eight minus the birthday boy since he's busy with his friends, it was quite easy for them to form group. once, the MC said that there must be at least 1 mommy and 1 daddy in a group, so we, the parents (i'm considered as one ot the parents) had to get involved.

parachute game

the next game is called the parachute game. the children made one big circle and is given a round shape big parachute to hold. then one of them will be chosen as a crocodile. the 'crocodile' will go under the parachute and pull any child's legs. this child then will become another crocodile and help the first crocodile to pull other children's legs until all of them are under the parachute and became crocodiles. the parents part here is to help hold the parachute. my nephew, hazim proudly got the part of the first crocodile and as expected he pulled my niece, yasmin's legs first to help him. the sound of the children squeals an shrieks is actually fun to hear.

the race game

the third and the last game the played is the race game. the children are divided into team A and team B. each team got 1 mommy to help them organized and 1 daddy to become the superplayer. they have to lay down on a skateboard and use their have to push themselve forward. the first team to finish wins. it's quite funny and entertaining to watch the children play and even more funny and entertaining to watch the superplayer a.k.a the daddy played. my brother-in-law is one of the superplayer. after the games ended, all the children washed their hand and went to the dining room to eat. they sang the birthday day song for the fifth times and the birthday boy cuts the angry bird cake.

and that's the end of the party. i returned my 'children' to their biological parents and took a walk around the mall. they got borders book shop but it is small. there were other bookshops outside the mall (since bangsar is quite near to UM), but i couldn't see it since it's raining. i went straight back home, this time using a different route from the one i came. my sister arrived not long after me and it's time to open the birthday presents. i didn't gave him any present yet due to my eoconomic condition. hehe.. but i did gave him his gift today! i gave him a book on mummy, cars pictureuka card games and a dvd.

ps: i remember when i was young, i only celebrated my birthday once, on my 9th birthday! well, i blow candles almost every year because we do celebrate birthday in our family, no matter how small it is, we must have cake!
