leap year tradition ~_^ |
okay, so this year is a leap year! i'm taking this opportunity to write an entry on today since i could only do it once in every four years! did you know that there are some interesting traditions about today. and one of them is women may only propose marriage on leap years in british isle. persons that born on the 29th february are called 'leaplings' or 'leapers.' so happy birthday to all leaplings or leapers!
i've read an interesting article in reader's digest recently. it's about how pick friends who make us feel good. i a study in US, researchers found that a person's happiness depends on the happiness people they connect with. it's not only spread between direct friends, but also among friends of our friends' friends! and this good feelings seem to be the most contagious among friends of the same sex. dr luft, a psychologist said that nobody is all positive or all negative.
we should spend more time with the people that made us feeling positive, great, happy and energised after the meeting. it doesn't mean that we should cut contact with the people that made us feel the opposite. it just meant that we put more emphasis on the people we feel good around. we also radiate positive aura ourselves so that the people around us will receive the similar effect. again it doesn't mean we have to be happy and sunny all the times. we have the right to be sad because it's normal.
but if we have the deepest and truest friendship of all, we just have to be ourselves! negative or positive, happy or sad, crazy or uptight, our true friends will accept us for who we are and will always bring light and joy in our lives. they will always there through the thick and thin, to lend shoulders to cry on, to lend ears to all our problems no matter how silly it is, to offer advises when asked and so much more! be grateful for friends like these since they truly are hard to find!
ps: oh, i proposed to kengo akechi just now and he said yes! in my imagination of course! ;)
